About Alexandra
After my degree, I want to be a Music and Religious studies teacher, as I am very passionate about education. I have completed modules in philosophy of education, in which Iearnt the value of teaching. I am actually really interested in all the subjects I teach, which is not always the case with tutors. I believe my passion shows in the lessons I deliver.
I am very kind and supportive. I currently tutor Religious studies, English, Clarinet and music theory.

I believe in interactive learning, where I converse with the student about what they already have learnt and fill in the gaps of knowledge for what is required for the exam. To fill in these gaps, I provide resources on the topic.
So that my students get the best grades, I focus mainly on exam techniques. In doing this my students learn how to understand the questions which have been asked and the correct way to answer in order to get the highest marks.
I provide worksheets and exam questions in order to consolidate learning in new topics, which is the best way students learn. As well, I give homework so that the student has follow up resources during the week.
I am a second year Philosophy student with a minor in music at the University of Sheffield . I have also studied European politics and economics at Utrecht university in The Netherlands. I am a concert clarinetist, I have a diploma in music and grade 8 in my instrument. I teach music theory and clarinet to many students in person and online.
