About Clara
I am a PhD researcher and assistant lecturer at the University of Essex. I work on the philosophy of perception, and I am aiming to develop an original account of social perception. In my work, I am interested in continental philosophy as well as analytical philosophy of mind. I have presented at the University of Copenhagen and the University of Oxford, I have worked as a teacher in philosophical logic and in psychoanalysis. Additionally, I have a lot of proofreading and marking experience. Overall, I love philosophy and writing, and I would love to work with you!

A typical lesson will be 50 minutes, in which we will go through either a key text, or a piece of written work you have submitted.
If we discuss a text, we will discuss the key themes of the text, and work on breaking the text down, and critically analysing its arguments. These classes are aimed for anyone interested in philosophy, political theory or critical thinking aged 16+
I am also able to provide mini-courses (7 Sessions) in several topics, including:
- Introduction to Philosophy
- History of Philosophy
- Love, Death and God
- The Philosophy of Perception
- Critical Social Theory
- Phenomenology
- Feminist Philosophy
- Kantian Epistemology
If you want detailed and comprehensive writing tutorials, we will go through a piece of writing you have completed together and work on the specific needs you have. I will mark the work in advance and send it to you with comments, and this will serve as the basis for the lesson.
