About Tea
Hi, I’m Téa. I grew up in London to French parents and am originally from Cannes—a background that’s given me a bilingual, international outlook and a deep love of cinema. When I’m not tutoring, you’ll often find me watching films, exploring new cafés, or balancing city life between a workout class and the pub on the weekends. I studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the London School of Economics, and I’m heading to Columbia University this autumn to pursue a Master’s in Quantitative Methods. I also worked at J.P. Morgan in investment banking, where I gained hands-on experience applying economic frameworks to real-world financial decisions.

As an economics tutor, my teaching style is clear, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building strong conceptual understanding alongside real-world application—making economics not only understandable but relevant. My approach blends theoretical explanation with interactive problem-solving. I use diagrams, data analysis, and past exam-style questions to help students internalise key concepts and apply them confidently. For essay-based topics, I support students in structuring clear, analytical arguments with strong evaluation. Whether we're covering microeconomic theory, macroeconomic models, or behavioural insights, I break topics into manageable steps and guide students through active learning—encouraging questions and critical thinking throughout. Lesson Format and Duration Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, with flexibility depending on the student's schedule or intensity of the session. I provide follow-up resources or homework tasks for consolidation if needed. Qualifications and Experience I hold a BSc in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) from LSE and will soon begin a Master’s in Quantitative Methods at Columbia University. I’ve previously tutored A-level and undergraduate students in economics and related quantitative subjects, helping them boost both confidence and results. My professional background includes experience at J.P. Morgan in the Leveraged Finance team, which allows me to bring real-world insight into our lessons—bridging theory with application. I work with: A-level, IB, and GCSE students: looking to improve grades or prepare for exams + French Bac Specialite SES Undergraduate students: seeking support with core economic theory or assignments Students preparing for university economics applications including personal statement advice and mock interviews Whether you're aiming to master diagrams or refine your essay technique, I’ll help you achieve your goals with structure, energy, and encouragement.
