About Mateen
I have graduated UCLA with honors in Philosophy with multiple research assistant positions focused on writing both in a legal and philosophical context. In these positions, I worked with UCLA, Princeton, and Vanderbilt Professors, Post Docs, and Graduate students on drafts. This involved writing prose and organizing theses and research papers. I have also had experience tutoring philosophy students on critical analysis and argument synthesis as a Peer Learning Facilitator at the UCLA Philosophy Writing Center. Through these practices, I have cultivated a style of prose that emphasizes creativity, directness, and poetic subtext.

I can provide K-12 support for all subjects but also can provide college-level analysis for philosophy. My lessons will include draft review, outlining, brainstorming, paraphrasing, and more.
