About Isabella
Hello,
My name is Isa.
I first studied philosophy for my IB diploma (Philosophy SL, final score: level 7).
After getting my IB diploma (35/45), I went on to get a Philosophy degree at Lancaster University. I am now working as an outdoor educator (I teach environmental philosophy and ethics).
I wrote my university dissertation on Feminist Philosophy (more specifically on the Ethics and Communication of Advertisement in regards to rape culture).
I am eager to teach philosophy and look forward to meeting you!

I have many philosophy essays saved (both IB and Uni papers) that I can share and guide students through. I believe this is the best way to learn how to write a philosophy essay.
In terms of studying philosophy, I can teach abstract concepts and break them down into more applicable terms. A lot of Philosophy texts can be understood better when translated in more modern day language.
I start with a title, ask the students what they know about this title (this allows them to create a backdrop of knowledge), I then share some articles on the topic (preferably before the lesson), we will talk about what we learned in the articles, discuss any ideas that don't make sense, connect it to larger concepts and have philosophical discussions/ debates. If they have any questions, I am well read in Philosophy and will be prepared to answer them.
