About Sarah
I have been teaching languages since 2017. After tutoring at the writing center in my undergrad university, I was accepted by WorldTeach to teach English in an engineering university in Quito, Ecuador (Sept 2017-Aug 2018). During that time, I became TEFL certified. Also during that time, I had been accepted as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (Fulbright ETA) in Uruguay, where I both completed the grant and lived for 2.5 years (2019-2021). While there, I taught English to students of multiple ages, both online and off. I also won a national lesson-planning competition, as well as reached C2 level proficiency in Spanish through my own study, taking classes, and forming close relationships with local people.

Because I worked up to my fluency from 0 to 100, as well as lived in Latin America for years, I know what native English speakers need in order to improve in their Spanish skills and confidence. In our lessons, we'll work together to tailor the material to exactly your interests and goals. This way, the language will take on a meaning that is more personal to you than ever.
