About Laura

I am a Linguistics Postgraduate from UCL with a passion for languages and teaching. I am interested in helping both children and adults to develop their Spanish skills, since I know how to create personalised lessons according to the needs, age and level of the learner. My past experience as a learner of English and French makes me sympathetic towards my students, and provides me first-hand knowledge of the best learning techniques and methods. My teaching experience includes working at an Outstanding secondary school in London, where I taught Spanish to years 7 to 9. This means that I am confident in preparing students for their GCSE in Spanish. Before moving to the UK, I taught Spanish to university students and worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona). Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have. I am looking forward to help you! University : - University College London - MA in Linguistics with a Specialisation in Syntax [Distinction] - Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona) - Applied Linguistics [First Class] - King's College London - ERASMUS Exchange Programme in Modern Languages [A] Other Qualifications : Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language Introductory Course (Pompeu Fabra University)

Laura helped my daughters when we moved from the UK to Barcelona. They had some basic knowledge but needed to improve their skills before starting their education there. She planned engaging and useful lessons and my daughters really liked her.
