About Alice
I am a third-year PhD candidate in Classical Archaeology at the University of Oxford, with more than eight years' experience of private tutoring in Latin and Ancient Greek, which I have taught both at high-school and undergraduate level, always taking my students to improve their translation skills and familiarity with classical civilizations. My research requires a deep knowledge of classical languages, and a solid proficiency in the comprehension and translation of ancient literature.

My approach to teaching aims to get the student familiar with classical texts and civilisations, by combining training on grammar and on translation techniques with insights on particular aspects on the Ancient World (e.g. Greek and Roman history and culture). My purpose is not only to teach how to translate classical texts, but to understand how we can use these text to learn more on classical civilisations.
