About Meghan
I'm a PhD student in Public Policy and a current university instructor with a background in teaching, research, and educational coaching. I’ve spent over a decade working with students of all ages—as a professor, research assistant, polling lab director, and professional learning facilitator. I hold a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor’s in History, and I’ve presented original research at national political science conferences. But what truly drives me is helping students grow—academically, emotionally, and strategically. Whether I’m teaching writing, government, test prep, or executive functioning, I bring empathy, structure, and a sense of humor to every session. I’m especially experienced in supporting students with ADHD, anxiety, or executive skill challenges. My goal is to help each student build confidence, independence, and the tools to thrive—in school and beyond.

As a university instructor and graduate researcher, I bring both academic expertise and a warm, student-centered approach to tutoring. My lessons are designed to meet each learner where they are—whether they’re tackling U.S. Government, improving their essay writing, preparing for college admissions, or building executive functioning skills.
I focus on teaching how to learn, not just what to learn. Sessions are structured but flexible: we typically begin with a quick check-in, clarify goals for the session, dive into collaborative work, and wrap up with a reflection and next steps. I often incorporate study strategies, mindset coaching, and confidence-building along the way.
I specialize in tutoring middle school through college-level students in humanities, social sciences, and writing—especially those who are neurodivergent, anxious, or overwhelmed. My students often describe me as calm, approachable, and empowering. I believe learning is relational, and I strive to be a steady presence in each student’s academic journey.

I would have been completely lost this semester without Meghan’s assistance. She helped me turn a C into what should be an A by the end of the term. I fully intend to keep working with her as a tutor going forward, and I strongly encourage others to do the same.
