About AKSHAYA
I am Akshaya Parasuraman, pursuing Doctoral degree in Genomics and Proteomics with over four years of experience teaching Biology and related subjects to students at AS Level, A Level, and undergraduate level. I specialise in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Biotechnology, and I have a strong academic background that allows me to explain complex biological concepts in a clear, structured, and easy-to-understand way. I am a highly organised and dedicated tutor who believes in building strong foundations before progressing to advanced topics. My teaching style is student-centred, concept-focused, and aligned with examination requirements. I place great emphasis on clarity, accuracy, and logical understanding, helping students not only improve their grades but also develop genuine confidence in Biology. My teaching approach is concept-driven and student-focused. I strongly believe that Biology becomes easy and interesting when students understand why processes happen, not just what happens. Therefore, I focus on building strong foundational understanding before moving on to exam-oriented preparation. Lessons typically last 90 minutes and include concept explanation, practice questions, and revision support. Each session is carefully planned according to the student’s academic level and goals. I place strong emphasis on clarity, scientific accuracy, and exam technique, helping students gain confidence and achieve better results.
