About Junaid
I am a PhD Scholar in English Literature and UGC-NET/JRF qualified, with more than five years of doctoral research experience. My academic interests include contemporary literature, psychoanalytic criticism, literary theory, young adult fiction, and interdisciplinary approaches to literature.
My doctoral research examines suicide in contemporary American young adult fiction through a psychoanalytic framework. This research has given me extensive experience in close reading, critical analysis, research methodology, academic writing, and working with literary and theoretical texts.
As a teacher, I value understanding over memorization. I aim to make difficult literary theories, critical concepts, and academic ideas accessible without reducing their intellectual depth. I also help students develop the ability to read critically, construct arguments, and write with clarity.
I work with undergraduate and postgraduate students, UGC-NET aspirants, and research scholars who want to strengthen their understanding of English Literature, literary theory, research methodology, and academic writing.

My classes are designed for students of English Literature at undergraduate, postgraduate, UGC-NET, and research levels. I teach Literary Theory and Criticism, British and American Literature, Research Methodology, Academic Writing, and UGC-NET English.
My approach is based on close reading and clear explanation. Difficult theories and literary concepts are broken down into simple language without losing their academic depth. Rather than encouraging memorization, I help students understand texts, writers, theories, and critical arguments so that they can read and write independently.
For UGC-NET aspirants, classes can be organized around literary history, major writers and works, literary theory, criticism, and examination-oriented preparation.
For MA and research students, I also provide guidance in research methodology, topic development, research questions, literature reviews, academic argumentation, MLA 9, dissertation structure, and scholarly writing.
Classes are adapted to the individual student's level and purpose—whether the goal is improving university performance, preparing for UGC-NET, understanding literary theory, or developing stronger research and academic writing skills.
