About Teja
My constant search for identity and who I am led me to question the perception of space and space making the same. Since then, I have been asking relevant questions at various stages in my journey as an architectural design student. The idea that we as humans continuously try to organize and shape the physical and social world that we live in, which is shaped by the ideas, beliefs, behaviours, and physical environment, has always intrigued me. This sense of inquiry has led me to pursue and develop a further understanding of questions throughout my education and professional experience.

Topic: Culture, Embodied Cognition & Spatial Design.
2. M.Des, IMIAD, CEPT University, Ahmedabad.

Our experience of space starts concurrently with our life on Earth. We pick a location based on our connection to the land and then explore the rest of the globe. These locations signify the beginning of a feeling of belonging and spatial organisation. As spatial designers, we conceive of the world via design activities, including drawings, models, and diagrams. These tools serve as devices of communication and creation and as a method of experientially placing oneself in the setting. The emphasis is on constructing such instruments as an activity and the abstraction of experiences. The concept is that digital abilities should not impede conceiving and creating an experience. Collages/photomontages/short videos/models will be the basis for the activities, which will be turned into drawings and models. This course attempts to move away from a conditional view of places and spatial design in favour of an ecological perspective (one's intrinsic perspective) on design and apply techniques/methods from Design Thinking and User Experience.
Key learnings on successful completion of this course will be to gain these abilities:
1. Individual Map position, place in context and experiential qualities through senses.
2. Decode experiences through abstraction techniques.
3. Develop an intent to intervene and initiation of the design process.
4. Comprehend 'Metaphor' as a factor in the generation of ideas and translation into spatial design.
