About Mohammad
I am a PhD-qualified Civil and Structural Engineer and currently work as a Bridge Engineer at WSP, where I apply advanced mathematical and analytical skills in real-world engineering projects. Alongside my professional role, I have over five years of experience working at university level as a Lecturer Assistant, supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students in mathematics, structural mechanics, and engineering-related modules. I teach GCSE and A-Level Maths, including exam boards such as Edexcel, AQA, and OCR, as well as introductory university-level engineering mathematics. My strong academic background allows me to explain topics such as algebra, calculus, trigonometry, mechanics, and applied maths in a clear and structured way, while also helping students develop effective exam techniques and problem-solving skills. My teaching style is supportive, patient, and highly personalised. A typical lesson begins with identifying the student’s current level and specific challenges. I then break down complex topics into simple, logical steps, using worked examples, visual explanations, and guided practice. Lessons often include exam-style questions and targeted feedback to help students build confidence and improve performance. Having experience in both academia and industry, I enjoy showing students how maths is used in real-life engineering situations, which often increases motivation and understanding. I particularly enjoy tutoring because I find it rewarding to see students gain confidence, overcome difficulties, and achieve measurable progress over time. My aim is to create a positive learning environment where students feel supported, motivated, and capable of success.

I am a PhD-qualified Civil and Structural Engineer and currently work as a Bridge Engineer at WSP. I also have over five years’ experience as a university Lecturer Assistant, supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students in mathematics, mechanics, and engineering subjects. I teach GCSE and A-Level Maths (including Edexcel, AQA, and OCR) as well as early university-level engineering maths. My lessons are structured, clear, and tailored to each student’s needs, whether the focus is exam preparation, strengthening fundamentals, or improving confidence. A typical lesson begins with identifying areas of difficulty, followed by step-by-step explanations, guided practice, and exam-style questions. I use clear worked examples, visual explanations, and real-world applications from engineering to make concepts easier to understand. I enjoy tutoring because I like helping students gain confidence and see their progress over time. I am patient, supportive, and committed to helping every student achieve their full potential.
