I offer individual, discussion-based tutoring tailored to each student's needs and level. I help students understand demanding philosophical and literary texts, develop their own arguments, improve academic writing, and prepare essays, dissertations and university applications.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes and combine close reading, discussion, explanation and practical work on the student's own ideas or writing. I encourage students to think independently rather than simply memorise information, and I adapt the pace and level of each lesson to the individual student.
I hold a PhD in Philosophy and have extensive experience in university-level research, teaching and academic writing in English. I work particularly well with undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as advanced school students (including A-level and IB), studying philosophy, literature, critical theory or related humanities subjects.
Lessons are conducted in English and are suitable for both native and non-native English speakers.
