About David
My name is David, and I am a doctor in philosophy. I am multidisciplinary. I am specialized in the history of ideas and of philosophy. I am also knowledgeable in many areas of Humanities, culture and social sciences. I am very efficient in finding information and in advising for research content and writing.
I have a PhD in philosophy, in which I have written a thesis in the history of ideas in North America. Also, I have two Masters, one in history per se, and the other in theology, in which I wrote a thesis in medieval religious history. I also happen to have a BA in classical studies. I have up to now 12 books published, and three or four more will be published in the next 18 months to two years. Also, I am constructing a philosophical system which links metaphysics with the philosophy of Nature.

*J'offre également un service d'aide éditoriale et de correction en français.
I offer an editorial service, whether in English or in French, in terms of writing, correction (editing), textual structure and semantics, grammar and spelling, and general composition. The way ideas are presented and argued in a text makes all the difference. Also, the way the text is structured and the vocabulary used is crucial. Having published books with such prestigious publishing houses as Springer (English) and Hermann (French), I can certainly be of help.

While at university as a health science student, I took an ethics course taught by David. I remember being immediately mesmerized by his entire academic journey from the first class when he appeared in front of the class. He has in-depth knowledge in the field of philosophy, which he transmits to students by explaining in a clear and precise manner the concepts to be seen during the course. In class, it adds explanations that help deepen understanding and encourages students to engage in discussions relevant to the content of the course. He goes above and beyond to make himself available to students to help them, and he is able to point students in the right direction when needed. With his vast knowledge and willingness to help students, I have no doubt that David would be a great tutor for any student.
I met David during a presentation he gave to my undergraduate class while he was working as a Post-Doctorate student. Following his presentation, a fruitful discussion ensued and I have since had the opportunity to discuss a variety of matters with David and, thus, deepen my knowledge of philosophy and history. David is a kind, patient person with a strong desire to teach and a true passion for honest and critical intellectual discourse. He not only has in-depth knowledge in his field of philosophy, but also has broad knowledge covering various fields. I am sure he would be a good tutor in French or in English in philosophy.
David was my student at the philosophy department of the Université de Sherbrooke almost twenty years ago. We have remained in contact ever since. I followed his progress right through to the PhD. He also did excellent editorial work on one of my books. David is a very erudite teacher. His knowledge is vast. He is the author of numerous books and many scholarly articles. I have learned more from him, my student, than he from me, his former teacher. Our time spent together has been uniquely in discussion about theology, philosophy, politics, poetry, literature, the plight of the native peoples and about life and death. I recommend David to the other Superprof members because of his great knowledge of the history of ideas and of philosophy, but also, because David is a kind person and pleasure to work with.
David was my professor in university. In his class, we saw the history of philosophy in general. David was a very kind teacher, always available if we needed help, even though we were a big group. He would always be very kind and never bothered to offer any extra help outside class hours. In class, he always gave a lot of ''real life'' example, so we could understand a subject better, since we were by no means philosophy or history students. He knows his stuff very well, and is always trying to find ways to make us comprehend if a subject is more ambiguous. I highly recommend him as a professor, because he genuinely cares about his students.
I have known David for over ten years, notably as a supervisor for his doctoral research. He is passionate about philosophy and is the most hardworking person I have met. Because of the importance he places on the transmission of his knowledge, I have no doubt that he will be of great help to the students.
