• When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  I started tutoring in 2008, as a means to support my Undergrad studies. Immediately I was very interested in tutoring either online or in-person, since it made me help many other students.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  I like to teach many subjects, but my most favourite one's are Physics, Maths and anything in the field of Mechanical Engineering. I ideally don't like to teach biology, as it's not my core subject!

• Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  I did have some very good teachers in my college, and also a few very disappointing one's that inspired me a lot to improve myself and make concepts very easy for anyone whom I am tutoring.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  I think understanding the student's requirements and his ability to digest the concepts are the main things to be followed from the start. Later as per the students' development the concepts or numericals can be delivered at a faster pace.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  In my school days, I had difficulty with subjects like History or Geography, and one of my teachers taught me a very good lesson that when you read a topic first time, then you just read it, but when you read the same topic second time then you actually learn the topic properly. And I have been following that since for topics which are difficult to grasp at once.

• What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

  Earlier I used to face difficulties with communicating or explaining a concept to someone else, but since I started teaching this is no longer a problem. I am able to communicate even difficult concepts very easily.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  I have passion for making mechanical/robotic systems and have been working on them since my childhood. This also inspired me to get my PhD in Mechanical Engineering, but I'm still following it and will be following it forever I guess.

• What makes you a Superprof ?

  I guess my 13+ years of experience with the subjects I teach and also with so many students in the past, gives me an advantage to tutor any student confidently and make him/her feel very confident of the subject/topic itself by the end of our session. I am able to tutor multiple subjects like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Nanomaterials, Nanomanufacturing, Robotics, any topic in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Control Systems, Mechatronics, etc. the list would be very long :-)
