About Mac Geoffrey
I am a Mechanical Engineer with a First Class BEng degree, a Distinction MSc in Engineering with Management from King's College London, and a MRes & PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath. Alongside my academic journey, I work as a Graduate Acoustician at a leading global engineering consultancy, where I support projects involving environmental acoustics, noise assessment, vibration analysis, and acoustic modelling.
I have extensive experience in research, teaching, and mentoring, having supported undergraduate and postgraduate students as a Graduate Teaching Assistant throughout my doctoral studies. My work has involved advanced topics including signal processing, mechatronics, and computer programming.
I am passionate about helping students develop confidence and achieve their academic and professional goals. Whether you are preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, university examinations, dissertations, research projects, or professional development, I provide patient, structured, and supportive guidance tailored to your individual needs.

I am a PhD Mechanical Engineering candidate and Graduate Acoustician with experience in both academia (University of Bath, Penn State University, King's College London) and industry (multinational firm). My teaching approach focuses on building a strong understanding of fundamental principles before applying them to real engineering problems and case studies.
Lessons are tailored to each student's goals, whether that is improving grades, preparing for examinations, completing coursework, developing programming skills, or gaining confidence in a technical subject. I combine theory with practical examples drawn from engineering practice and research to make complex topics more accessible and engaging.
I have several years of teaching and mentoring experience at university supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students in engineering subjects. My research and professional expertise include acoustics, noise and vibration, signal processing, ultrasound, materials science, lithium-ion batteries, data analysis, and MATLAB programming.
Lessons typically last 1 to 2 hours and are available online or in person where appropriate. I welcome students from GCSE and A-Level through to undergraduate, MSc, PhD, and early-career professional levels seeking support in engineering, acoustics, research methods, data analysis, and technical computing.
