About Noé
Half French, half Canadian, I speak French and English fluently. I completed my secondary education at an international school in Belgium where I passed four A-Levels. I carried on with an intensive two-year undergraduate course at one of the best schools in France, the lycée Henri-IV, before completing my history bachelor degree at the Sorbonne and a MA in history at Durham University. Throughout my academic career, I was led to learn and speak languages at various levels, whether as part of my study or for my own interest. Thus, I speak a decent Spanish, a humble Dutch, a beginner's Hungarian and have advanced reading skills in German, as I study the Austrian dynasty of the Habsburgs.

Anyone who wants to study French, regardless of level, is welcome! I have experience tutoring middle school students preparing the Common Entrance 13 + exam and undergraduate students of different levels. I mainly focus on vocabulary, grammar and conjugation in earlier learning stages, and on text-writing and literature in later ones, adapting my lessons to each student's individual needs. But to me, the true key to learn a language is cultural immersion. I discuss French music, cinema, politics, history, geography, cuisine and traditions. All of them are vectors to a better understanding of the language and its speakers, and make the lessons more fun!

Perfect! Noé is a wonderful tutor- very patient and accommodating with my disability, but keeps conversation at a sufficiently challenging level to expand my command of the French language. He goes the extra mile for instance creating powerpoints to explain grammar issues he'd picked up on me struggling with in my written work. Fantastic knowledge of French history and society to expand my understanding of topics studied in my degree module, and a really fun tutor too!
