About Andrew
I have recently submittedmy PhD thesis in the application of machine learning and other computational methods to marine life in the fields of proteomics, genomics, morphometrics and ecology. My work has been published in international scientific jpournals, and presented at conferences around Europe. With a strong background in biology and statistics, including a first class undergraduate degree and a masters in bioinformatics, I have a wealth of expertise to share in a range of biological sciences. Throughout my PhD, I have been involved in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students in a range of courses.

I have experience teaching undergraduate students and below in a range of topics, with an approach based on practical experience at tackling problems and questions. We will start with simple topics and build knowledge at the pace of the student, over 45 minute lessons. I try to encourage research and debate to broaden understanding.
