About Rahman
I specialized in molecular genetics during my PhD where I investigated mechanisms of gene expression regulation in yeast and human cells. During my postdoc I studied gene regulation during neural development. I am passionate about mechanisms of gene expression regulation, which I try to convey as much as possible when teaching.

I start from basic concepts and build up a narrative using metaphors and simple diagrams to explain complex biochemical processes. My lessons are for undergraduate and Master's level students who are interested in understanding mechanisms of gene expression from transcription regulation to protein synthesis.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my patience and willingness to engage with all types of questions from my students, no matter how rudimentary.
