About Elizabeth
I taught Portfolio Management and Security Analysis whilst completing my PhD in Finance at Strathclyde Business School. I also did private tuition for students studying this class who approached me for extra support as they found my teaching style very helpful. I achieved a first class honours degree in Finance as an undergraduate and I would aim to help others do the same. I now work as an Investment Consultant, but I really enjoy teaching and so I'm keen to still be involved. I've held various other positions within asset management and banking, spending time working in London and New York.
If of relevance and interest to the student, I try to bring extra life to the lessons by using real world examples to help illustrate concepts. I'm happy to teach via webcam, or arrange to meet in person.
In addition to my PhD in Finance, I have obtained the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification, and I have passed Levels 1 and 2 of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program - two professional qualifications that might be of interest and I'd be happy to share experiences of.
