About Alexander
I am an experienced teacher and scholar with a PhD in English Language and Literature. I am an expert in Shakespeare and Renaissance Literature and History, and I have taught English and German as foreign languages for 8 years as well as Literature classes at university. I particularly enjoy teaching Academic Writing in English. I can help students with essay writing and exam preparation for GCSE and A-Level in the Humanities, especially English and History. I have acted as doctoral co-supervisor and am also keen to help undergraduates with dissertations, essay writing etc.

I am a patient and empathetic teacher, a strong linguist and a good communicator. I teach classes that are suited to the student's needs, ranging from exam preparation to communicative learning. In teaching English Literature I focus especially on historical and political contexts. I also enjoy teaching academic writing and helping students with research techniques for essays and dissertations.
