About Annette
I am a recent PhD graduate in Chemistry from UCD, specialising in synthetic organic chemistry. I have an excellent academic record, coming first in my class in my undergraduate degree with first class honours. I have received many academic awards including two UCD school of chemistry medals for excellent results.
Chemistry is centre stage in my family with both parents retired chemistry teachers and a sister who is a chemistry/maths teacher! I love teaching and helping students understand the course content.
- In my postgrad, I tutored many undergraduates in different chemistry courses, supervised lab classes and corrected undergarduate theses.
- I have given many Leaving Cert chemistry grinds and guided students through the course.
- I have corrected 5 years of mock LC chemistry papers so I am very familiar with the course content, marking schemes and how to approach the questions.

For approaching chemistry exams, understanding the fundamental concepts behind the topics is essential. I try to spend time breaking down topics to make them easier to understand so that a student can approach any question with ease! From correcting many mock papers and exams, my teaching is exam question focused. I am very flexible and can assist a student with topics they are struggling with along with their school work.
