About Sanskriti
As a woman of colour, I am aware of my sociocultural positioning and therefore consider gender and race as the overriding premises of not only my research, but often my other writing pieces as well. I feel deeply about many subjects that are outside the scope of my research- Stray animals, work-life balance, bullying culture, philosophical interpretations of everydayness are a few among many.
You may be able to see glimpses of these in four opinion pieces of mine that have been published in the national newspaper of Singapore- The Straits Times. I have also written two creative writing pieces and one news article for two of University of Technology Sydney's in-house flagship magazines- The Comma and Vertigo, and one weblog for the University at Buffalo, Singapore Institute of Management's official Information Technology (IT) webzine.
I sing for fun and post solo and collaborative pop covers on my Instagram. Although I seldom share my paintings online, I promise I am a decent painter.

I am an Indian who was raised in different parts of India, United Arab Emirates and Singapore, and is currently in Australia. My cultural rootedness and exposures naturally make me inquisitive of diasporic communities, especially the Indian.
This led me to design a comprehensive media and communications literacy course, by integrating project-based learning for equipping Indian diasporic high-school student community with experiential communication skills in non/digital environments.
With the uptake of my course for over a year by students hailing from Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan— I recognized that learning resides in teaching and that the act of teaching possesses sanctitude.
I am eager to render language and communication literacy teaching support and oversight.
