About Mapitso
I’m currently completing my PhD and I’m teaching a couple of law units at Monash. I enjoy learning and sharing knowledge, which had resulted in my love for teaching. I am curious and innovative, and teaching allows me to be myself, asking questions and learning. I am excited by mentoring students and assisting them to realize their career goals.

after many years of law practice, I’ve come to appreciate that student success at law school and beyond rests heavily on the understanding of the foundations of the law and the art of applying it to the given facts. This hinges on the ability to analyse the given facts, applicable legal principles, and predicting the court’s decision based on the facts. But this is the most challenging art to develop.
When I teach, my aim is to ensure that my students develop this art in different law disciplines and can confidently respond to problem questions, provide legal opinion, and argue their client cases both at law school and in law practice.
