About Maurizio
I am an expert in the subject in Contemporary History and researcher at the University of Macerata, an expert in political violence, conflicts, intelligence and terrorism, I have a degree in law, the second in political science, a second level master in intelligence and security and PhD in HumanSciences. I also attended several high-level training courses in intelligence and national security. I am a scientific analyst in geopolitics in various specialized journals.

The course aims to provide the notions and analytical tools to:
- identify the specific characteristics of the contemporary age;
- know the main political ideologies that have occurred over the last two centuries, the phases and characters of the transformations of the role of the state and parties; the political systems of the main European and non-European countries; the political, economic and social transformations caused by the transition from rural to industrial and then post-industrial society.
The expected results are the following:
- acquisition of adequate knowledge and critical skills on the roots of today's world; [ N] - knowledge and ability to synthesize and communicate: the evolution of the political and social systems of the contemporary age; the historical factors that have led to the enlargement, sometimes narrowing, of civil, political and social rights; the historical basis of political communication; the historical roots of globalization processes.
