About Czarina
I have experience in tutoring Maths at the KS3 level as well as being a teacher for 6-10 year olds at a Pathfinder club for 3 years. I have taught both individuals and group classes in the past and my students have all passed with flying colours :)

My teaching method is based on active learning and space repetition as it is scientifically proven to help students at recalling things they have learnt and therefore perform better in exam conditions.
Active recall- Retrieving information from your brain “Test yourself”
Space repetition- Before moving on to the next topic answer the active recall questions in the previous chapter
Using these two concepts I apply them in a study cycle
1. Preview of the topic
- What do they already know from lessons at school
- Have they read anything about the topic previously
- What are their main questions about the topic.
2. Understanding- having gone through homework or a chapter I'll be checking their understanding of the topic
-What have I just learnt?
-What are the key ideas?
-Can I rephrase this in my own words?
-Further questions
3. Remembering
- Completing the rest of the homework
- Doing practice questions
- Testing knowledge after 2 weeks
