About Camilla

I am a passionate, creative and enthusiastic primary school teacher qualified to teach all primary year groups from year 1 to year 6. I have had experience in teaching all KS1 subjects, including preparing children for their KS1 SATs tests and have also taught years 1, 3, 4,5 & 6.

I am Maths subject lead in the school I work at and have been accepted to become a Key Stage 1 SATS moderator for the Borough.

I have experience of teaching children with a range of SEN including autism, ADHD and behavioural and emotional difficulties.

I have been tutoring for over 5 years for a number of children ranging from year 1 to year 6 supporting them in their maths, reading and writing, phonics as well as well as their homework.

I strongly believe in creating engaging and interactive lessons that cater for the needs of all children, ensuring that they are supported and challenged through the subject material. I will bring the same creative and interactive environment to the tutoring sessions that will deepen the child’s understanding of the concepts taught.

I was awarded the highest possible primary teaching qualification through Canterbury Christ Church University and the Teach First programme. I also have a 2.1 Honours degree in International Relations and International Development from the University of Leeds.

I am keen to use my experience and passion to support children in grasping misconceptions and difficulties or supporting them to extend and challenge their learning so that they reach their individual potential.

I aim to teach engaging and interactive lessons following the National Curriculum and different schemes of learning schools choose to use. My lessons ensure that children develop a deeper understanding of what they are learning so that they are able to apply it to different concepts.
