About Candice
Well-versed in English Literature and Arts, I graduated from Durham University with a high Upper Second Class with honours studying English Literature, Visual Arts and Film and Education. • Total experience to date: I have delivered more than 8 years of 1:1 tutorials to students since July 2017. Specializing in teaching English and English literature, I plan and create exam papers strategically catered to each student and group class. This has been
done at all levels from Primary School through Secondary School (KS1 to KS4).
• School Experience: I am an English Teacher at a Secondary School. I strictly adhere to an examination syllabus and create sets of worksheets for their independent studies, as well as examination-based drills at the end of each lesson to track their progress. I provide each student with constructive criticism and assign individual students with personalised tasks to ensure they maintain a cycle of self-study and supervised learning which accelerates optimal results.
• Current work: The majority of my students have graduated from A-levels into top Universities with flying colours. I am well equipped for online and in-person tuition. As well as a high speed internet connection and software for an efficient and excellent tutoring experience.
• What I teach: I teach English and English Literature GCSE/IGCSE, A Level, IB, HKDSE, foundation year and degree level. I have covered major exam boards such as IB, AQA and Edexcel. I have taught students taking GCSE/IGCSE, A Level, AP, Pre-U and IB exams. I have also taught some from unconventional courses, such as BTECs, foundation year and degree level students. I can tutor for any exam board and any syllabus. I also assist with UCAS applications, personal statements, entrance exams and any challenges Secondary School students may face approaching university applications.
