About Sonia
I am currently studying English Literature at the University of Birmingham. I have nearly 3 years’ experience in tutoring different age groups with different needs. I have tutored primary school students, helping them with reading, writing, comprehension and sometimes math questions. I have also tutored secondary school students doing their GCSE’s by planning tailored lessons and setting specific targets for them to reach. I feel I have great compassion for students and would be able to help them succeed academically as it is what I am passionate about doing.

I am flexible in my method of teaching as students tend to learn in different ways. Some may like to be taught using images and sample questions, whereas other students prefer to discuss the topics they are learning about, and I make sure that I can adapt to their preferred methods of learning. I help my students improve by creating tailored tutorials that reflect on the mark schemes of their exams, which will ensure that my students develop key skills and knowledge that they then incorporate into their essays.
