About Dr Gavin
I am a NIHR ACF Dermatology registrar who enjoys teaching and building up others. I especially enjoy empowering others to achieve their goals and their highest potential. I studied medicine in the UK and have worked in the NHS for nearly 5 years. I was able to secure a highly competitive NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship post in Dermatology at a world-leading centre and have also previously secured an Academic Foundation Programme post, a research fellow post, and an Internal Medicine Training post all of my choice. I have also coached several friends and colleagues and helped them secure their dream jobs across various medical specialties - eg: GP, Radiology, Dermatology, Academic Clinical Fellowships, AFP I have also taught on the MSc of Allergy and was a tutor in Med school. I have also presented at many national and international conferences and have published multiple peer-reviewed research papers.

I was also ranked in top 5 in the country for Dermatology and Allergy ST3 interviews. I also derive great happiness from helping people achieve their dream jobs. I can tailor my coaching and interview prep to suit your individual goals. Prep-work will involve looking through the scoring criteria and identifying key areas for improvement, then developing an action plan to maximise application scoring points. Following this, I will then provide mock interview sessions to ensure you are ready to smash the interview for your dream job.

Perfect! Thank you for the lessons. Gavin was very well-prepared ahead of the lessons, looking at my work in advance to make sure we could focus exactly on the topic I needed to cover, to make sure we got the most out of the time. He taught the topic in a very clear way, taking me through everything step-by-step and soooo patient. Plus I got an As' in the two assignments I did with him. I've tried so many other tutors but honestly he was the best! He is a GEM!
Dr Gavin is a wonderful explainer. He conveys his knowledge in a clear, and concise way, with questions in between that keeps one engaged. To trust a tutor like him, would be a great first step to understanding medicine, not just memorising it.
Gavin is very knowledgeable and encouraging when it comes to understanding difficult medical concepts. He has helpful tips/tricks in breaking down complex theoretical knowledge and he always take the time to ensure I have understood the subject matter through quizes etc.
