About ILIA
My name is Ilia, age 25 and I am currently working as a Research Assistant at UCL. I moved to London last year to do my MSc in Clinical Neuroscience and I am planning to start my training as a Counselling Psychologist in September. Originally, I am from Greece and my native language is Greek. I have always been keen on tutoring. During my studies in Psychology, I used to teach Greek to elementary school students and ancient Greek in high school students. I have excellent academic qualifications proved by the Distinction on my BSc in Psychology. My field of expertise is Neuropsychology, Psychological Research and Cognitive Psychology. I believe that what works is the one-to-one relationship between the student and tutor. With only one person to focus on, tutors can try a variety of teaching techniques in order to work out the most effective way of helping the student understand a topic. I consider myself a friendly, easy-going person, ready to engage with diversity in learning and help my students overcome any obstacle. Ilia is a passionate tutor, who does not only love sharing knowledge with others but also finds it very important to get to know her tutees, their goals, and ambitions. Personally, I felt like I knew her for a very long time, as she was happy to listen to my concerns and engage with my stress.
