About Arika

With 4 years of piano teaching experience and over 300 students taught, I bring dedication and creativity to every lesson. I enjoy working with students of all ages, especially high school, college learners, and adults who want to build strong musical skills.

My teaching philosophy centers around simplicity, comfort, and personal progress. I believe that learning piano should feel easy to understand and enjoyable to practice. I break down lessons into small steps and explain techniques clearly so students feel confident from the start.

I teach everything from basic hand positions and finger movement to advanced rhythm patterns, chords, scales, and expressive performance. I also help students explore different types of music, including classical, pop, and movie themes. Many of my students have improved quickly and performed in school events or small concerts.

My goal is to create a supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and steady improvement. I guide students with patience and enthusiasm, helping them enjoy the journey of becoming better musicians.

My approach to teaching Piano is built on open communication, adaptable methods, and practical learning that connects directly to real music. I believe every student has a unique learning style, and understanding that style is the key to effective teaching. Some students learn visually through demonstrations, others through repetition, and some through listening. I identify this early and design lessons in a way that matches their natural style.

In addition to Piano, I teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Sight-Reading, Chord Progressions, Rhythm Control, and Improvisation Basics. These areas give students a complete musical education. I explain concepts in simple language and connect them to familiar songs so learning feels meaningful. For example, when learning scales, I show how they appear in popular melodies. When working on chords, I relate them to real-life harmony found in everyday music.

I use real-life case studies from well-known pianists and performances to show how skills develop over time. This helps students understand that progress is a journey, not a race. I keep lessons interactive, encourage questions, and give helpful feedback that builds confidence. My aim is to guide each student with patience, clarity, and practical techniques so they develop strong musical skills and an enjoyable relationship with the piano.
