About Archu
I am an enthusiastic piano tutor with 9 years of professional teaching experience and a record of successfully guiding around 300 students, including teenagers, college learners, and adults. My lessons focus on developing technical skill, musical expression, and performance confidence, while nurturing a deep love for music.
My teaching philosophy combines solid technical foundations with creative musical expression, emphasising posture, hand coordination, finger independence, scales, arpeggios, rhythm, sight-reading, theory, and musical interpretation. I encourage students to connect emotionally with the pieces they play and explore their own musical voice.
Lessons balance technical exercises, theory, and repertoire, with beginners gaining confidence through simple pieces and advanced students refining performance skills and tackling complex compositions.
Many students have performed successfully in recitals and competitions, and several have earned high distinctions in graded examinations

I prioritise strong technical skills such as scales, rhythm precision, finger independence, and dynamic control. I use clear explanations and demonstrations to support understanding. Lessons are structured but flexible enough to revisit challenging areas when needed.
Collaboration motivates students to take ownership of their learning journey. I create a supportive atmosphere where improvement is celebrated. In addition to piano, I teach ear training, music theory, harmony, and sight-reading to enhance overall musicianship.
