About Winston
I have been teaching violin for 4 years both privately and at my school's summer music camp. I have served as the concert master for the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra and play first violin in my school's chamber orchestra which placed "Best String Orchestra in America" at the 2018 ASTA festival held in Atlanta. Additionally, I have been selected to numerous high school festivals such as New York's All State and All County as well as the Long Island String Festival multiple times throughout my high school career.

I am someone who believes that every student with the right guidance can develop the necessary skills to learn violin and grow to love it. I aim to help my student succeed by being an energetic motivator. My main focus is to make music fun and not intimidating through breaking large concepts into smaller pieces. A typical lesson will begin with a warmup to achieve a nice tone and progress to etudes that hone in on a specific skill or concert repertoire.
