About Samantha
I have a BA from Smith College. I have always been a voracious reader (especially of science fiction and fantasy), which set me up well to succeed in school. A fan of Shakespeare and Greek mythology, I always excelled in math and literature. I've lived on both coasts of the USA and right in the middle. I was also lucky enough to spend a semester in London during college. I majored in Theater, with a focus on classical acting, but I never let my math skills get rusty. After college, I decided to put my aptitude with math and language to good use and become a tutor.

I teach with patience and diligence. I'm always happy to explain problems and strategies in detail, and I am prepared with many resources for practice. The work we will do in lessons will be to find your strengths and weaknesses, and then to spend our time shoring up your weak points and instilling test-taking strategies. I have tutored recent college grads, prospective PHD candidates, and experienced adults returning to the classroom. I will challenge you as a test taker while supporting you as a person.
