About Jose
I am a committed Flute tutor with more than 7 years of teaching experience, teaching School students, College students, and working professionals who want to learn flute for education, personal interest, or career development.
My tutoring method is structured, practical, and student-centred, focusing on building strong fundamentals such as breathing techniques, posture correction, finger coordination, tone quality, and rhythm control.
I believe consistent practice and proper guidance lead to steady improvement. In addition to flute training, I teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm exercises, scale practice, ear training, and performance skills to strengthen musical understanding.
I also assist students with exam preparation and public performances. My strength is providing clear explanations, personalised practice routines, and supportive feedback to help students grow confidently.

I follow a student-centred teaching approach for flute that combines communication, creativity, and flexibility. I explain concepts clearly, demonstrate exercises, and provide step-by-step guidance to help students understand and apply techniques correctly. I encourage open discussion so students can ask questions, share difficulties, and receive constructive feedback.
Creativity is included in lessons through musical exercises, improvisation, tone-building practice, and expressive music that keeps students motivated. Lessons are adapted based on student progress, goals, and learning style.
Flute instruction covers breathing control, posture, embouchure, finger technique, articulation, scales, rhythm, and sight reading. In addition, I teach related subjects such as music theory, note reading, rhythm training, ear training, and performance preparation to ensure comprehensive musical development.
