About Jessica
Hi, I’m Jessica, a certified special education teacher with 8 years of experience teaching elementary students across multiple grade levels. I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education and have extensive experience helping students build strong foundational skills in math and develop confidence in their abilities.
I am passionate about creating a supportive and structured learning environment where every student feels encouraged, capable, and motivated. I use evidence-based strategies, individualized instruction, and ongoing progress monitoring to ensure that each student makes meaningful academic growth.

My approach to math tutoring is individualized, patient, and hands-on. I meet each student where they are, breaking down concepts into manageable steps and using visuals, games, and real-life examples to make learning engaging and meaningful.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of prior concepts, followed by guided instruction on new skills. Students then practice independently or with support, and we end with a short reflection to reinforce understanding and track progress. I also provide strategies for problem solving, organization, and confidence-building, so students feel capable tackling challenges on their own.
What sets me apart is my background in special education, which allows me to adapt lessons to different learning styles and provide extra support for students who may need it.
