About Lavina
When you take singing lessons with me, you’re not just learning how to sing — you’re learning how to connect with your voice in a way that’s personal, expressive, and empowering. I believe that singing should feel good, not forced. That’s why I tailor each lesson to you — your style, your pace, and your goals. If you’re a beginner, we’ll build vocal confidence gently with clear, simple exercises. If you’re more advanced, we’ll refine your technique and dive deeper into musical interpretation, style, and control. You’re always invited to bring your favorite songs, and together we’ll explore how to sing them with skill and authenticity. I bring in creative tools like vocal storytelling, visualization, and even improvisation to help you unlock new sounds and emotional depth. Lessons are never one-size-fits-all — some weeks we might focus on breath and tone, others on stage presence or harmony. If you’re working toward something specific like an audition or performance, I’ll be right there with you, offering guidance and encouragement. And if you’re singing simply to find joy and release, that’s just as important. You’ll always leave with thoughtful practice suggestions and encouragement to help you grow between lessons. I also offer support with music theory, confidence building, and long-term goal setting, if that’s part of your journey. Above all, I aim to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and inspired to express your full voice.

My goal as a singing tutor is to help students discover and strengthen their voice in a way that is artistically fulfilling and technically sound. I teach using a combination of open communication, creative exploration, cultural understanding, and accountable learning practices.
Strong communication is the cornerstone of my lessons. From the very first session, I listen closely to each student's goals, feedback, and challenges. I strive to create a space where students feel safe to experiment, take risks, and ask questions without fear of judgment.
I bring creativity into each lesson by incorporating visual imagery, vocal games, character-based singing, and even movement. This helps vocalists connect emotionally with music and learn technique in an intuitive and joyful way.
Cultural sensitivity is vital in a world where music crosses borders. I teach students to approach songs from various cultures with respect, historical awareness, and emotional authenticity. This broadens their musical understanding and adds emotional depth to their performance.
To ensure lasting progress, I encourage accountability through structured practice plans, mini goals, and clear assessments. This helps students feel a sense of purpose and see tangible growth over time.
In addition to singing, I support students with related skills such as performance coaching, diction, music analysis, and stage presence—equipping them to thrive both in the practice room and on stage.
