About Georgette
I’m a Year 12 student who has a love for languages as a whole. Linguistics has deeply interested me for several years now, and I’ve done extensive reading around the subject in my free time. I hope that I can share this passion with others through teaching.
I also teach Maths and Physics up to GCSE-level.
I’m friendly, patient, and I understand that classroom-based lessons just don’t work for some people. I’d like to try and make English as accessible as possible to anyone who’s interested in it.

As a student myself, I'm very understanding of the stresses and pressures of student life. I aim to provide a relaxed, low-pressure environment where me and my students are deserving of equal, mutual respect. My main goal as a tutor is to help you achieve success - however that may look for you!
I achieved strong 9s in both GCSE English Literature and Language, which I believe was mainly due to my deep passion for languages as a whole. This passion has also motivated me to become TEFL certified; I've completed a 200 hour Level 5 TEFL Diploma with Tefl.Org.
I am at B1 fluency in French, so classes taught in it may be slower than those in English, but I aim to still provide as rich of a lesson as I can.
I can teach both GCSE English students and non-native English speakers, helping to build language confidence for both. I'm still working towards getting more experience, and I'm always open to reviews and constructive criticism. Hopefully both my grades and love for knowledge can help bridge that gap, and help to grow both mine and my students' passions.
