About Lea
I am in the process of completing my teacher training at a specialist school for those with specific learning differences such as Dyselxia, ASD and ADHD. I am passionate about: Psychology, asking why, seeking answers, and questioning theories (both with regards to the curriculum and wider ‘reading’). I believe that learning to become a reflective learner will set you up to reach your potential in the future, the very purpose of teaching itself! Learning does not have to be a ‘chore’ if it is in a way that is accessible to you (something I have seen in practice for a number of years as I have worked in coaching and mentoring roles over the last 10 years!)

I teach Psychology and Sociology at Y9 and Psychology for Y10 and Y11 (OCR) and A-Level (AQA) and Level 3 BTEC. My lessons are structured to include a ‘starter, main and plenary’ this means all lessons have a clear introduction, building upon knowledge and an opportunity to check your understanding. Lesson method differs each lesson based on the topic and how each of my students is ‘feeling’. I always seek to strengthen scholarship and learning outside of the classroom, this includes practical research, interactive games, documentaries and discusison to expand learning and apply to the real world.
