About Ava
I am a Spanish tutor with 7 years of experience and a MA in Intercultural Communication and Spanish Language. I have guided over 300 students from beginners to advanced speakers pursuing professional and academic goals. My lessons focus on conversational Spanish, grammar, phonetics, cultural immersion, travel vocabulary, and DELE examination preparation. I am passionate about bringing the richness of Spanish-speaking cultures into every lesson. My Spanish lessons are practical, immersive, and immediately useful from the first session. Every lesson begins with a warm-up conversation exercise to build speaking confidence and identify areas to develop. Grammar is taught in context through real dialogues and authentic situations rather than abstract rules. Pronunciation and phonetics are practiced throughout every lesson to build clear and natural-sounding Spanish. Cultural immersion is woven into every session through music, film clips, recipes, and stories from Spanish-speaking countries. DELE exam students receive targeted preparation for all components including reading, writing, listening, and oral examination. Heritage learners reconnect with their family language through meaningful personal topics and relevant vocabulary. Travel-focused students practice real-world scenarios such as restaurant visits, transport, accommodation, and social conversation. I provide vocabulary lists and short exercises between lessons to reinforce what we cover. My goal is for every student to speak Spanish with genuine confidence, fluency, and cultural understanding.
