I ensure students can understand any concept by breaking it down into simple, intuitive parts. This way, students can learn past the point of memorizing equations and apply concepts to any problem they're faced with. I like to keep a light-hearted mood during sessions, being patient and kind while tutoring.
A typical lesson will begin by going over the student's schedule, learning or reviewing the involved topics, and then building the student's confidence by going over practice or homework problems. I will go over concepts clearly and ensure the student understands the reasons behind problem-solving techniques as well as how to apply them. I encourage students to participate by asking questions and relating it to familiar concepts.
