About Isabella
I started guitar lessons at 10 years old, and I have been hooked ever since! I studied a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Cape Town, specializing in Classical Guitar, and I graduated with distinction. I am currently studying a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, to become a qualified full-time music teacher. I currently teach guitar at two esteemed schools in Cape Town.

I believe that creating a safe and inclusive teaching environment will allow my pedagogy to inspire pupils to achieve to their fullest potential. I would describe myself as patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic, and I believe that anyone can learn an instrument.
I can teach Classical Guitar and Ukulele up to Trinity or ABRSM Grade 8 level, and Bass Guitar and Electric Guitar up to Grade 3/4 level. A typical lesson will consist of learning 1-3 pieces, using a textbook to assist with the process, and learning important skills such as aural, sight-reading, and music theory.

Perfect! Lily-Ann's first lesson was absolutely great, she could not stop talking about how much fun she had and that she is so excited for her next lesson. Isabella was awesome she made Lily-Ann feel comfortable and relaxed. It is clear that Isabella is not only highly skilled in guitar but also patient and an effective teacher. Her passion for music and teaching really shines through. Thank you!!!
