My student-centered teaching approach aims to create an engaging and supportive learning environment through a mix of interactive activities, real-life applications, and multimedia resources. I encourage active participation with discussions, role-plays, and group work, and tailor lessons to individual student needs and goals. I use real-life scenarios to teach vocabulary and grammar, and provide constructive feedback and regular assessments to monitor progress.
A typical lesson plan starts with a 5-10 minute warm-up to engage students and review previous material. This is followed by a 15-20 minute introduction to new vocabulary, grammar, or concepts using visual aids and examples. Students then engage in 20-25 minutes of interactive practice through conversations, writing exercises, or role-plays. The lesson continues with a 15-20 minute application of new knowledge to real-life situations or projects, such as writing a letter or participating in a debate. Finally, the lesson concludes with a 10-15 minute review and feedback session to summarize the material, address questions, and provide performance feedback.
