About Megan
I’m a dedicated special education teacher with eight years of experience working with students ages 5–22 across a wide range of disabilities. I’ve supported learners with autism, intellectual disabilities, behavioral challenges, and complex communication needs—always with patience, creativity, and consistency. My passion is helping each student feel seen, valued, and capable, no matter where they’re starting from. I thrive on building trusting relationships and adapting my approach to fit each child’s unique learning style. Whether we’re working on academics, life skills, or emotional regulation, my goal is always growth, confidence, and connection.

My teaching style is patient, flexible, and rooted in building trust and consistency. I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs, using visuals, hands-on activities, repetition, and positive reinforcement to create an engaging and supportive environment. A typical session might include a brief warm-up to build confidence, targeted instruction on an individual goal (academic, behavioral, or life skills), and a short wrap-up that reinforces progress. I specialize in working with students ages 5–22 across a wide range of disabilities and learning styles, including nonverbal learners and those with emotional or behavioral challenges. What sets me apart is my ability to truly connect with each student—bringing out their strengths, celebrating small wins, and adapting creatively to whatever the day brings. Lessons are ideal for families seeking a compassionate and experienced special education professional who will meet the student exactly where they are and help them grow.
