About Olya
For me, understanding ecosystems and regenerating nature isn't just an academic subject—it’s a personal passion and a way of looking at the world
My connection to sustainability is practical and community-focused. Over the years, I’ve spent time setting up permaculture gardens and getting involved in grassroots environmental initiatives both here in Australia—including time spent in Margaret River—and back in Ukraine. It’s a space I love being creative in, and I’m always brainstorming ideas for new community-led restorative projects
As an educator, my goal is to take subjects like environmental science, recycling, and sustainable development and make them relatable. My sessions are relaxed, conversational, and tailored to whatever you are looking to get out of it—whether that's passing an exam or just learning how to live a bit more sustainably

My Approach to Teaching Ecology & Sustainability
Regenerating nature isn’t just a subject you memorize from a textbook—it’s a way of seeing the world and interacting with the living systems around us. My methodology blends scientific understanding with practical, real-world action so you can truly grasp how ecosystems function and how to heal them.
My Methodology & Techniques
I break down complex environmental science into clear, intuitive concepts. Whether we are discussing global sustainable development or the microbiology of a backyard compost bin, my focus is on systems thinking—helping you see how everything in nature is connected.
For Students (School/Uni): I clarify tough ecological concepts, environmental science theories, and data, making them easy to understand and apply to your coursework.
For Eco-Enthusiasts & Growers: We focus on practical application—soil health, closed-loop waste systems, recycling mechanics, and how to successfully run a home composting system that regenerates your local soil
Lesson Length
Lessons are 50 minutes online. This gives us plenty of time to dive deep into a specific ecological topic or practical system, look at real-world examples, and discuss how you can apply it
