About Havvah
Welcome to Your English Tutoring Journey!
My name is Havvah, and I’m excited to help guide you through your English writing and reading process. Whether you're aiming to strengthen your writing, improve your reading comprehension, or develop a deeper understanding of literature, I’m here to help you achieve your academic goals.
We will start by identifying your current level in both writing and reading comprehension, as well as understanding your personal objectives for tutoring. This allows us to create a clear plan tailored to your needs. Depending on your current focus, a typical lesson plan might involve reviewing a piece of your own work to pinpoint areas that need development. From there, we will work on practical strategies to refine those skills, followed by engaging, one-on-one practice activities. After each session, I’ll assign targeted practice activities for you to complete at home, so you can continue building your skills in your own time.
I’m open to working with students at all levels, from middle school through college. English writing and literature have always been passions of mine, and I believe that the best way to learn is through a personalized approach. Each student is different, and I strive to cater to your individual learning style and goals. By focusing on what makes you unique as a learner, I aim to make each session not only productive but enjoyable as well.
During my time in college, I had the opportunity to work with students who faced challenges in traditional learning environments, including those with neurodivergence and learning disabilities. I understand that every student learns in their own way, and I am committed to adapting my teaching methods to meet your specific needs. My goal is to design lessons that help you succeed at your own pace, while empowering you to grow and develop your skills in a way that feels right for you.
I look forward to working with you and supporting you every step of the way in achieving your goals!

We will start by talking through and identifying your English writing and reading comprehension level, and your objectives and desires for your tutoring journey. Depending on what you are currently working on, a typical lesson plan would include us carefully looking through a piece of your work in order to explore which practical elements we want to develop and hone further, followed by some one-on-one practice activities within the subject matter during the session, and the assignment of one or multiple take-home practice activities for you to work on in your own time.
I am open to working with students of all levels between middle-school through college-aged, as English writing and literature have always been a passion and strong suit of mine throughout my own primary, secondary, and higher educational careers. I believe that creating individualized lessons focused on the learning style and personal goals of each student, is most effective when the active participation and enjoyment of the student is prioritized. This means catering to the ever-changing needs of the student by getting to know their level and ability on a personal and academic level.
During college, I worked with many students with neurodivergence and learning disabilities that made traditional English teaching practices difficult for the student to incorporate into their work, and excel in. My goal is to get to know your specific level and needs through the way that your mind works, in order to design lessons plans that cater to the learning style most effective for you, and empower you to grow at your own pace!
