The typical lesson, which lasts an hour per topic, will focus on clear objectives for each module or training lesson at the start of lessons to provide focus and purpose. I will use several interactive elements, such as quizzes, simulations, and gamification, to engage learners and deepen understanding. I will also use multimedia tools such as videos, animations, and infographics for presentations in diverse ways, which I intend to bring into teaching. Since graduation from university and throughout my career, I have had the immense privilege of teaching and imparting knowledge. I started with a one-year national youth service, during which I taught chemistry and biology to senior secondary school students and prepared them for college entry exams. I also taught integrated science to junior secondary school students; served as assistant examination officer, planned and prepared high-quality lessons; engaged and motivated students to maximise learning potential; planned educational field trips to advance student knowledge in chemistry and biology and collected samples for laboratory testing; and held revision sessions to help students revise for exams. With a master's degree in biochemistry, I have developed a deep knowledge and strengths in chemistry’s core principles, from atomic structure and the periodic table, states and changes in matter, bonding, structure, and quantitative chemistry, understanding chemical changes and reactions, energy changes, the rate and extent of chemical change, organic chemistry, chemical analysis, chemistry of the atmosphere and carbon cycle and climate change. I am passionate about teaching chemistry and understand the UK curriculum and learning objectives well, which would allow me to provide teaching strategies for the specific needs of Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 that would help my students excel in their GCSEs and A-levels while developing a genuine curiosity for the practical applications of chemistry. I would create a learning environment fostering curiosity, independent thinking, and a profound understanding of chemistry in practical experiments and designing innovative lessons. I am committed to guiding students towards promising STEM careers in engineering, medicine, technology, environmental sciences, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and animal sciences.
