About Israa
I’m a friendly and passionate student currently completing a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Science double degree at La Trobe University, majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Physiology. I am nearing completion of my Science degree and have developed a strong passion for science throughout my studies.
I understand that every student learns differently, and I want to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes and working through challenging concepts. I especially enjoy helping students realize that science can be much easier — and more interesting — when it is explained in a way that makes sense to them.
I’m approachable, patient and genuinely enjoy helping others learn. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them feel more confident in their own abilities.

My lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive and tailored to each student’s individual learning style. I like to break down difficult concepts into simple steps and use examples, analogies and practice questions to help students develop a genuine understanding rather than simply memorizing information.
I also believe learning can be fun! I often use funny or relatable examples and memorable concepts to make difficult science topics easier to understand and remember. This is something I have found helpful throughout my own studies and when helping my sister with her schoolwork.
Lessons are typically one hour, but I am happy to offer longer sessions when a student needs additional support or would benefit from more time. Lessons can focus on homework, schoolwork, difficult topics, revision or preparation for upcoming tests.
I offer lessons for primary school students needing support with Science and general homework, as well as Years 7–10 students studying Science, Biology and Chemistry. I am happy to provide lessons online or in person.
